Snow Day
My first commissioned work, premiered in partnership with the Spring Lake Park band department, the district where I came up as a young musician at Westwood Middle School.

Every composer remembers the first time someone asked them to write a piece. For me, that invitation came from home. The Spring Lake Park band department partnered with me, as an SLP alum, to premiere Snow Day.
Writing for the program that shaped me as a young musician made this commission a homecoming. It began a relationship with Spring Lake Park that continued when the Spring Lake Park High School Jazz I ensemble premiered my original composition Moonlight Groove in 2018.
